December Fun ('13 Edition)

So this is late. Obviously.
This having a kiddo sure does limit my free time to do things like post pictures. And fold laundry. And sweep the floors. And sometimes, and I'm not proud of this, wash my hair.
Totally worth it.

Here are some of the fun times from December!
The boy met a dog that weighs more than he does. He was just as fascinated with Bean as he is with Kramer.

Speaking of Kramer, she decided she deserved a little more respect. So she sat where the people sit.

This happened. It's brisket. Covered in bacon. BACON.

Chicken with an artichoke and tomato sauce.

The newest ornament on our Christmas tree is hands down my favorite ornament.

February Fun ('13 Edition)

Here are some of the highlights from the shortest month of the year!

Kramer napped. This is neither new nor exciting. However, it appears as though she is using the blanket as some sort of body pillow and she looks too adorable for her own good.

We cooked a ham from the hog we split with my parents. Best. Ham. Ever.
Turkey Tetrazzini. This was fantastic. Bacon, cream cheese, wine, peas, mushrooms, garlic, bacon, turkey, cheese, did I mention bacon?
This is how we drank our beverages on Valentine's Day. Yes, it's milk. And yes, it's in a wine glass. With a nugget on the way, this is how we celebrate!
I painted a door hanger with some friends. It's not super flashy, but it might have started a trend around our house. It's so fun to have something festive hanging on the front door! Happy (early) St. Patrick's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Tulips are the most beautiful flower!
Drew surprised me earlier this week with flowers and cleaning the shower and toilet in our upstairs bathroom. Both the flowers and the cleaning made me equally squishy on the inside. Love that man!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday and enjoy some time reflecting on what you are thankful for. My thankful list grows by leaps and bounds every year and this year is no exception. God is good. All the time.

I'll leave you with a couple of my favorite funny images from Thanksgiving. Enjoy!

Fourth of July

Yesterday was a perfect summer day full of BBQ, swimming, hot weather, ice cream, family, and blowing stuff up.

Happy Birthday USA!
We spent the day at my brother's house and had a joint Fourth celebration and birthday party for my niece who turned 7 in May. Genius that I am, I completely forgot my camera. But, we did enjoy some smoked pork, salads, rice crispy bars, birthday cake, ice cream, and lots of water. We jumped on the trampoline and spent some time in the pool before we blew up fireworks. Then, we headed back home and went to watch the country club's fireworks show. Those country clubbers sure know how to put on a display.

The camera in my phone obviously takes stellar night pictures.

Yeah for fire in the sky!

Oooh.

Aaah.

Sparkly.
Note to self: the next time the Fourth is on a Wednesday, do yourself a favor and take the rest of the week off.
