February Fun ('13 Edition)

Here are some of the highlights from the shortest month of the year!

Kramer napped. This is neither new nor exciting. However, it appears as though she is using the blanket as some sort of body pillow and she looks too adorable for her own good.

We cooked a ham from the hog we split with my parents. Best. Ham. Ever.
Turkey Tetrazzini. This was fantastic. Bacon, cream cheese, wine, peas, mushrooms, garlic, bacon, turkey, cheese, did I mention bacon?
This is how we drank our beverages on Valentine's Day. Yes, it's milk. And yes, it's in a wine glass. With a nugget on the way, this is how we celebrate!
I painted a door hanger with some friends. It's not super flashy, but it might have started a trend around our house. It's so fun to have something festive hanging on the front door! Happy (early) St. Patrick's Day!

Quieter These Days

So, things have been quieter these days on the old blog front. There was a big push in December, thanks to the December Photo Project, but since then, it's been relatively quiet. Well, I'm afraid that's the new normal around here. I made a commitment to myself when I started this thing to blog at least once a week for a whole year and then see how it goes. 2012 was the year and it went well. I wanted to capture some of the daily stuff that tends to get lost in the memories we make. I did that and it's so fun to look back and read through some of the adventures we had. I still want to do that, just not every week. So, I'm cutting myself some slack and I'm just going to post when I feel like it.

Also, it's about to get all sorts of real up in here.

These types of items will soon be populating our world!
We're pregnant! And the little nugget is set to arrive in early July. We are just all sorts of excited these days!

These first 20 weeks have been rough. Like really rough. And I guess, technically, it's only been the last 14 weeks, but still. I think I'm finally starting to get to the energy filled days of pregnancy. I'm still taking meds to ensure I don't toss my cookies, but I'm feeling better throughout the day so I'm hopeful I'll be able to stop taking those soon. Regardless, we are so stinking excited! We aren't quite sure how Kramer will handle this addition though. Here she is with our then six week old niece in November.

Kramer doesn't quite know what to make of babies. Even if they are sleeping peacefully.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Tulips are the most beautiful flower!
Drew surprised me earlier this week with flowers and cleaning the shower and toilet in our upstairs bathroom. Both the flowers and the cleaning made me equally squishy on the inside. Love that man!
